Any ideas as to when they will be available for 3rd gen? I plan on re-gearing, and would like to add a front locker at the same time

Hey OP, I spoke with someone at ECGS the other day, and while he didn't say they won't do the install (they will do it) he wasn't very keen on using the E-locker. He basically tried to steer me toward other components. Did you have any trouble dealing with them to set this up? Is there someone specific you dealt with?

All it came with was a wiring harness and switch. ECGS rebuilt the clamshell

I spoke with Chase through email. Just asked him if they would do it, and he wrote up a quote.

Honestly if you spoke with a salesman, he was probably trying to get you to buy a product ECGS sells. They do not sell the elocker, so they won't make money on the elocker.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I present to you, the 2nd Tacoma on the planet with an E-Locked 8.4" rear axle.

It's nighttime so no good video yet. I just locked it in a corner.

Is there a reason you swapped out your automatic locker with the e locker?

Thinking of going with a powertrax no-slip for when I turbo it my truck, might have more traction for some good clutch dumps and so it's a bit cheaper....

I had an LSD in the rear, not a locker. But I can tell you from driving with this thing locked around a corner it's funky. I'm sure an auto locker is a bit better, but I'm glad I went selectable.

I'm just worried when I get my turbo I won't do nothing but spin. I already do that now when it's wet, hate to see it with like 10psi....

It's a truck. It's gonna spin regardless of a locker or open diff. My 2.7 auto would light both up in the rain with the Truetrac. Trucks are light in the rear.

Feel like it's better (and funner) if both of them spun. I like the Selectable aspect but feel like it be a pain to have to lock it every time I needed it
