It hurt me also when I had to drill into the front bumper to mount my plate.

Toyota should have a better factory option for sure.

It is a 2006 Ram 1500 license plate bracket found here:

    http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/de/full.aspx?Page=14

Part number 55-1864. I just did this and I think it looks better than the other options out there. It is not 100% flush but is close enough (Or you can shave the back of it with a dremel and make it 100% flush). I left mine black since I painted my lower valance flat black.

New Mexico doesn't even have front plates.:yay: They only issue one plate to you here when you register. I grew up in California though where both were required. I always took my chances and didn't mount the front plate. They're just too ugly. 15 years of CA driving and getting pulled over and ticketed (for other things) several times, I never got ticketed for no front plate. Even if I had, it would have only been a fix-it ticket.

I have a Mustang, and go to a lot of car shows, and you'll see all kinds of creative ways people hang the front license plate. Many do brackets coming out from a venting spot in the bumpers. The one I would do is just suction cups to the windshield. It is still visible to people and cameras.

In some states the front plate might be a secondary offense, so not having it there would end up in you getting two fines. I would rather drill holes to mount a plate, than get two fines that would add up to be more than having those holes filled and painted later on.

There are a few threads on here describing how to plug the holes in the bumpers. If you drill the holes slightly bigger and color match paint the plugs, you just pop em in and now you dont have the holes. You can get plastic push fasteners super cheap too.

I like this, however they don't have MGM as a color option in their chart. I will have to call them.
