I don't run a front plate on my truck.
It's required, but I really don't care. Worst case, I have it in the back seat, play the I'll install it card. The most common way people get no front plate tickets around here, is 45 min north of me in San Francisco. They get you when you're parked and leave the ticket on ur vehicle.
For some reason, no issues yet. I almost feel that having a plate bumper takes the attention off having a plate.

    Cheers

EDIT: In addition, the "community services" drive around my street quite frequently in my town. They look for vehicles that have sat there too long, once again, no ticket and they're pretty much the enforcers.

    Required here.

Anyone know a good aftermarket steel bumper with a hitch instead of a winch? Then I could install the plate in front of that on a hinge.

Toying with idea of installing one and putting a vanity plate on my taco. I see it's only held on with 2 screws. Does it rattle or anything when installed?

I am not sure if you are referring to the bracket I sell or not. So I will answer and if your question wasn’t directed at me then I apologize.

The no drill version I designed and sell uses two existing 10mm bolts to hold it on. Very sturdy and no rattling. You can post a question in the 3rd Gen sale thread I have if you would prefer to hear from TW members who are using the bracket.

Stock doesn’t rattle either. I cut my stock mount down to make it less noticeable and off the paint.
