So on way to work tonight I noticed I had one headlight and one fog light out. Cool thing is they were opposite sides of the truck so was still easy to see

My question is, is it worth it doing led headlights and led fog lights. Or just stick with halogen and call is a day?

Yes of course I would rather stay on a budget, but if LED are that much better I could spend more.

Currently I do have 5k vled switchbacks as my DRL

I have seen this. However I suck at electrical work and know it lol.

Am not a fan of silverstars anymore. May look at doing piaas which I have now or check out Philips extreme I think they r. Just put a set in my Mustang

Do not fear, I am also electrically retarded and managed to do the mod that crashnburn80 is talking about without issue. Do it, its amazing, and does in fact destroy all the other halogen bulbs and places way more usable light on the road than LED's.

If you can change a headlight bulb and connect positive and negative leads to your battery you can do this mod. I've walked several through it with no electrical experience. It is all plug and play.

Can it be done without taking the headlights off?

Yes. The only reason I took mine off in the thread was to swap Pro lights in. Purely cosmetic and not required for increased output.
