Looking to do the lower A-arms on my '09 4x4 Taco. Much of a savings buying ball joints and bushings as opposed to new A-arms? TIA Cheers, Dave

Recommend buying a new LCA with the ball joint installed by the vendor. Big savings in the PITA factor (IMHO).

I recently did both LCA’s and used the ones from A1 Auto for about $190, although most will recommend going OEM. Rock auto probably has similar quality/price LCAs but OEM is pricey and I figured I could replace these 3 times before the cost evened out with what the OEM arms cost. No issues so far but only have about 1000 miles on them. I would plan on having to cut off and replace the cam bolts as well, and if you don’t end up needing to that’s a bonus. There are so really good YouTube videos from A1 auto on how to do this job if you need them.

I too replaced the LCA and UCA. People will say "Go OEM" or your truck will explode on the highway.
Replacing the Ball itself would have been cheaper but its so labor intensive its not worth it.

Went with CK MOOG LCA and UCA from Lordco at $300, as OEM Toyota Arms locally is very expensive at Approx $500 per arm not including labor.

If you do go with Lordco (which is slightly more expensive than Rock Auto) make sure you give them the part number you want. They had all the parts I needed, also "upgraded?" to SPC LCA bolts while I was there.

Thanks for the Intel guys. I'll check Lordco as I occasionally get a discount there. Top ones and struts are already done with OEM take offs.
