Front Mounted Camera

I was out this last weekend wheeling with my buddy in his Rubicon. We went up a lot of steeper rocks and were unable to see what was over the edge. I had an idea to add another stock backup camera to the front of the truck and use the back up camera mod with a switch so you could use the stock head unit and camera setup to view up front. Does anyone think that is possible?

 

Yes it is, there are many threads on this for 3rd gen already. I also agree that the hood is ridiculous for wheelin, i have the same issues. Sometimes so bad i gotta get out jist to double check my lines!

Guys have gottwn backup cams and wired in a switch or just got dash cams in the grill with the 4" screen in the console etc...

 

its possible but in all the threads explaining how its done, all those that have done it said its useless wheeling, would just be good for parking
