So today I was doing some much needed maintenance on my new to me 07. I descided to get rid of the ugly ass front mud flaps. When I did, I then noticed that they rubbed off the paint and now I have a long black line on my fender flares!

Anyone know a good fix for this, or should I just get some touch up paint?

Damn... I don't want this happening to mine. Anyone know if the stockers kick up a lotta dirt without the guards on?

Your front mudflaps look a lot different than mine.. I would take those off also.

As I was flipping through your pictures, I noticed how your 1st gen was totaled. Since I am new, I didn't hear the story... Did the guy on the bike make it (not sure if I want to know, doesn't look good for him)?

That happened to me too... Not complete paint removal though. You could buff down and try to spot repaint I guess?

The big rocks took off my front mud flaps :) The easiest mod I've ever done.

The scratch is pretty deep, Im not sure if I could just do touch up paint.....
I almost should do a filler first then touch up paint.

    Any reccomendations?

To Rob: the guy/teen on the bike got lucky, and only had cuts and bruises...
Im soo glad it wasnt worse!

When I got mine a buddy had already told me what happened to his and to just go ahead and take them off. They all end up breaking off and beating up the paint in the process and the back right one wraps itself around the exhaust and makes a nice little smelly mess. I sold them as "new removed" on Ebay for $120. :D

    Yep.
Yup. Took mine off last year for rubbing and the fact that I think they're ugly. Had the exact black lines you have. O-well, I have worse pin-striping from the trails anyway.
