springs are probably wearing out. How many miles are on the truck? If your looking for essentially a stock replacement (about 1" of lift) you could get some OME 880 coil springs.

Get new springs! The Old Man Emu springs ride and handle much better than stock, I have the 880s on my 04 extra cab, they gave me about 1.5 inches of lift. Wheelersoffroad.com has em and toyteclifts.com has em, they run about 180 for the set... You also get a discount for being a Tacomaworld member at toytec...
