literally, came out this morning went to put the driver seat belt on and it was stuck like took a couple of tries to get it out, get it out and its wet and iced up, wtf. yesterday we had a good snow, wind, rain storm but how does water get in the seat belt holder ? I do have the Toyota roof rack which I'm not sure how its installed but could be a factor. Has anyone else had this ?
    same thing passenger side

Have the dealer who installed the roof rack inspect the installation. Most likely doesn't have a good seal and water is entering.

Yup. Dealer sent me to their collision shop, collision guy agreed that that's about the only place it could be coming in. They're going to check it out on Mon and reinstall, seal or what's needed. Would I go with this rack again, probably not.

Most of the people who have that rack don't have a problem. I blame the installer.

new development, collision guy talks to dealer service guy who says theres no way its the rack as the rack just clips in to the channel and theres no drilling involved, so I'm kind of at a wait and see point although collision will have me come in and do the hose check etc , ?? water got in there somehow

There has been a few people on Tacomaworld who have had water leaking issues from the roof rack.

I had the same problem...they should apply some silicone when installing.

Kinda sucks that you have to wait over a week to get it checked out again. Hopefully you don't get any rain.

    None as of yet
Dealer service guy obviously doesn't know about the 10 threaded holes in your roof that hold the rack in place.

so dealer sent me to their body shop where it was determined the hardware on the install was defective (?) they reinstalled with new hardware kit and water tested for 3 hours I'm told and no leaks, so we shall see. I printed out some posts from TW for the body shop about this problem think it helped
