    Just looking at some pictures
    http://www.p3cars.com/toyota-scion/

I have one of these for my Jetta. It's basically the same as scan gauge just a clean look. Wondering if this would fit. They look like the same vents but not sure

I have one in my jetta works great.
can switch it from boost gauge to EGR temp, RPM, ignition timing, coolant temp, 0-60 timer, shift light, battery and a few other things.
love it would love to have one for the tacoma too.
but P3 doesn't make it, but wonder if the scion one would work.

    Otherwise scan gauge it is.
think scangauge is cheaper though, and might do a bit more.

    EDIT
    ya
    329 for P3
    199 for Scangauge.

I was eventually going to get around to emailing them about this!

I looked more closely and the "back" of our vents is slightly different, but the front looks very similar. It's quite possible it would be a drop in fit, but my only beef with it is that it makes you unable to adjust the vent as much. Living in Pennsylvania right now means I need some heat blasting, and I'm moving to Arizona so I will need some A/C blasting. ;)

It looks like the driver's left hand vent would be pretty hard to get at as you have to take the instrument cluster cover off... the right hand vent looks way easier to remove as part of the radio bezel.

Also I'd want to ask about a blue version because the Taco instrument cluster is blue.

not sure on the install for the tacomas but for the jetta it was really simple.
popped right out with a trim tool
I thought I'd have to do a full dismantle as well but didn't
The part it installs into usually just pops out, don't need to do the whole trim. And I was just looking in the service manual from toyota, same case it does pop out.

For the air flow part its meh.
Just means when you install it have the vent where you want it after. I did find a way to change the vent after but the vent set up is different on VW not sure it would work for toyota.

It does give pretty shitty flow though. I have it on left side so I doesn't really matter much though, the vent is still aimed at the window for defogging the side windows better than what the normal defog vent does. Heat is always on the floor anyways, still have the centre vents for AC. Had mine 3 years now never had a problem and our winters are hella cold, and our summers are humid as a sauna feeling like 95+
Note, I absolutely fucking dred the heat, love the cold lol so the winter part would never be a concern to me.

Just watched an install for the BRZ/FRS and it looked just as simple as the Jetta was. just pops out easy.

From someone else's thread about painting their trim surrounds. The whole bezel comes off.

Yeah, I kinda don't like the vents as-is but I can deal with them. Adding this gauge would restrict their ability to spin so ehhhh, I dunno.

I'm more so thinking scan gauge still
Even though its not as clean, I can likely figure a way to install it with a cleanish look
Its also easier on the wallet lol.

I needed the P3 for the jetta as it was the easiest way to get a boost gauge with my TDI.
Its a great gauge though. Absolutely love it and was trying to find one for the tacoma.

thats where I was planning to put it too haha.
well more into that little pocket there since I have the OR so no charging system thing there.

Most likely will go with scangauge since its cheaper and does more. Just wish I could have the same clean look

I'm thinking of possibly getting that vent clip thats on here from another member and just put that on the left side and then use the scangauge mounting plate to attach to it. That way its tucked away on the left side. Since thats where it is on the jetta, I'm used to looking there for the info.
But who knows, once I get the gauge I'll figure out placement.
Girlfriend already said she'll get me it for my birthday in January haha.

Here is how I installed mine. I used a bendmount kit that is available on Amazon. Install was very easy and wire is tucked into headliner and down a-pillar
