Trying to wire in a couple of super cheap, auxiliary lights. I followed rhoppas DIY wiring thread to a T and got nothing when I was done. swapped out the relay thinking maybe it was faulty. Still nothing. So I've since gone the "wrong way" with this and got rid of the relay and the fuse tap. Simply ran wire from pos side of battery through an inline fuse to the switch in the dash, back out to my lights. Everything that needs to be grounded is. One light now comes on when I hit the switch even though both lights have power running to them. I pulled the non working light apart and tested everything with a circuit tester to make sure the bulb was fine and what not. Even bought a new light its self thinking I had a faulty one, wired it up and tested. Still nothing. At this point my brain has turned to mush. I'm gonna take it a professional on monday but for now. Can some one give me some suggestions?? pretty please:eek: Thanks in advance.

If each has power going to it and you've tested it with a volt meter, and one light goes on but the other does, I'm assuming you have two separate grounds. I would switch ground locations even if just for shits and giggles.

You could if you have a known good ground but your ground may be fine that you have. You could always connect the positive end of a volt meter to the ground and then touch the neg terminal of the battery with your lights on and that'll tell you if it's the ground.

The only thing I can think of is to ground it to a screw that doesn't have any plastic parts at all thats attached directly to the frame or hell just temporarily attach it to the neg battery terminal and that'll tell you if it is or isn't the ground. I've had more little "projects" screwed up because of the ground which appeared to be fine but wasn't than I can count on one hand.
