Selling two 3rd gen TRD Sport Double DIN (more like a plus size double din) head units

One is JBL enabled and the other is not, my customers upgraded to the ALPINE entertainment system, and left me their radios.

approx 8" screen, bluetooth, SD card, CD, AM/FM/Satellite Radio, and I believe the navigation is all built in and will function normally. Pretty sure the vehicle statistics will function normally as well

Prefer Pickup, but will ship on your dime

any pics of the alpine system they replaced it with?

 

Separated the radio itself from the control buttons below, alpine gives you the option since this particular radio is for more custom applications.
So we shaved down the lower part of the dash plastic and mounted the controls below the AC controls

will the steering wheel controls still work on the aftermarket HUs?

 

Yes with some Wiring up, If you have some stereo experience and a wiring diagram, its quite easy. Get a pigtail for the radio from the dealer and you're golden.

 

Sold the JBL to @fbconvert and he made it work in his 2nd gen, fits pretty nice!

 

I have the SR5 2017 Tacoma with the bulkier head unit , but I want the ones with the trd package will it be a plug and play in mine?

 

unfortunately I haven't had an sr5 come through my shop for radio work so I can't tell you for sure. But as far as I know it should be with a few pins not being used because of the HUD in the cluster not being used for the sr5

 

The SR5 does have the display in the cluster, it is the SR that does not.
You would at least need the plastic surround for the TRD, the radio slightly larger. You may need brackets also, but I would bet the plugs would work in the back.
