Thanks for the bump , I'm finally getting the free time to do another production run. The question is how many...

From that old waitlist (in red), who is still interested?

    1. @AR15xAR10 - powdercoated, TBD
    2. @DuttonCD - white powdercoat
    3. @Tacomoto23 - raw aluminum
    4. @flyfisher4822 - bead blasted
    5. @TacoPretzel89 - white powdercoat
    6. @blairboy12 - raw aluminum
    7. @KK1849 - ???
    8. @Sleipnir - ???

    9. @orezona - ???
    10. @Ulysiss - ???
    11. @sulfurburner - raw aluminum
    12. @gsuit11 - white powdercoat

If you're on this list and you don't want to be, or vice versa, shoot me a message. And if you've got a ??? next to your name, let me know if you want raw aluminum, bead blasted, or powdercoated finish.

Does powder coating include bead blasting? For that textured look or is that the extra 10 dollars

I used to have a plastic emblem, but the black background would turn me off a little. These have a much more appealing look to me, and you can also paint them any color you want easily instead of just dealing with white. At the same time though, the plastic one is a decent choice...I sold my emblem in like an hour when people heard I was going this route.

PMs replied and first post updated with current list. I just got the quotes back and unfortunately both the waterjet price and shipping costs both went up since the last time I did this. Just to cover some of those costs I had to update the price for each version by $5. As always, that's the price shipped to your door.

    Raw aluminum - $40 shipped
    Bead-blasted finish - $50 shipped
    Powdercoated - $60 shipped

It's included as part of the process - the parts are beadblasted first to remove any scratches/burrs that you might get on the raw aluminum parts. Personally, I liked the metallic/textured look of the beadblasted aluminum so I just applied a clearcoat before installing them on my truck. The powdercoating has a smooth finish so you won't see any texture from beadblasting after they have been powdercoated.

I don't have any on hand, but the raw aluminum is what I get from the waterjet cutter - I box it up and ship to you. It might have minor scratches or burrs on the edges, as you'd expected on any piece of sheet metal. The beadblasting smooths out any blemishes gives an even texture - it also makes it look matte silver instead of glossy metal. This is the best shot I have of the beadblasted letters from my truck (compared to the plastic emblem).

    You got it!

I think they're only on 2nd gen Tacomas right now, but after this round we could have a variety, and a 4runner or two. @01 Runner, do you want me to add you to the list?
