Still have third member for 8.4 rear end - lowered $200 plus shipping!

    Truetrac - SOLD!!

Bought new for $450.00 and ran for 3k miles and decided to swap back to a full Detroit locker. A lot smoother than a full locker and stronger than a stock LSD. This is from a 8.4" rear end so it will fit any year tacoma with a 8.4" or T100. Asking 300$ plus shipping. Also have full third member but no ring and pinion.

    Any other questions just ask.

I'm in Fort Smith about 1 1/2 hours from Missouri line. For the third with all bearings complete with no pinion or ring gear would be 300 too. I'd take 550 for both to the same person.

How are the road manners? Do you have to let off the gas when turning corners to disengage it? I would like this but I had sliders in front of upgrading my diff.

Road manners are great! No clunk or slip like you experience sometimes from a full locker like a detroit when locking up. This LSD acts like a wrench and you don't have to let off and it lets the outside tire spin faster so it works great. When you are off road it comes alive, you don't have to put the parking brake on like stock LSD to get it to fully lock. Once you accelerate off road it gives both tires 100% power like a locker. I would recommend it to anyone that's not a strictly hardcore offroader; ie - 90% offroad and 10% street. This is a great unit and would love to see it put to use!!

Is there any parts needed to install this into a TRD Sport rear diff housing?

    This has my interest.

I'm not a gear installer nor locker installer, but I think you should be able to use the stock gears and carrier. Maybe someone will chime in that knows more about gears. I might call ecgs and see what they say.

Don't suppose this would fit the front diff. My read is an 8 inch locker, but wouldn't mind something in the front other than open.

Yes but it was on the 4.88 gears. I'm calling ecgs on Monday and asking if you need anything to install on stock gears.

Just got off the phone with Chase at ECGS, and he said that you can reuse your stock carrier and bearings. He said you would have to take off your stock ring gear and bolt it to the Truetrac, and then re use the stock shims and bearings to reassemble. He said you should have to check the backlash but it wouldn't be off by much if it was off.
