Thanks for the heads-up. Been burned once on a 'working' and 'tree 'moderate' actuator. Not doing that again. Only new. Good luck op!

Hehe I might buy it then to have a spare front locker. To be fair you did buy your second one from a certified ass clown.

Do it. You can't read either as this is a second gen locker, won't fit first gens.

    Free bump for op!

You sure it won't fit a 1st gen? Looks identical to the one I rebuilt on a 99.

Yes, it will fit first gens.... third members of elocker diffs are the same in 1st/2nd gen tacomas as well as the locker actuator.

I will test fit on a first gen when I have a chance later on today.

I recall reading an article regarding the difference in toyota actuator. Both may look identical, but the second gen setup have2 larger long stud that is positron slightly off compared to first gen actuator.

Negative, they are identical as far as I could tell, swapped one from a 01 into my 06.

Your just repeating what you heard. Op seems to emphasize it will not fit.

I've looked it up, same as my front locker too. It's Toyota, all they build are big Lego vehicles every part somehow fits another model. Also don't you know you have the same rear diff as a TRD off-road second gen, maybe you should buy an Alfa Romeo.

If you're interested in buying, I can probably make a video of it engaged and disengaged.

    MORE INFO POSTED ON FIRST
    ORIGINAL POST, PLEASE READ!

Update post, will not fit first gen elocker. As mention, maybe earlier second gen use the same actuator from first gen.

Best way is to measured your existing long stud hole as in my original post. Two different size hole, large hole is drilled slightly off compared to first gen/early second gen actuator. Both first, early second and late second gen use the same electrical plug.

    Thank you
