Will this mod effect the airbag dynamics and pop my head like an exploding watermelon upon airbag deployment?

I’d think the angle, even if you use the rear options with the front option, will put your melon father away from a deployed airbag.

Considering the safety features and airbags are designed to function on someone who is less than 5 ft tall and well over 6 ft tall, adding an inch or so to the front or back of the seat is unlikely to have an impact on those systems.

But with any aftermarket mod does come some inherent risk.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Steve,

I understand what you're trying to say. However I'm hoping for a more concrete answer than that. At the minimum, calculations should've been done to ensure a safe airbag deployment. "Probably not" doesn't suffice.

    Thanks,

    Nick

He just told you that the "safety features and airbags are designed to function on someone who is less than 5 ft tall and well over 6 ft tall..." It must suck that you're not within that height range. But here's a calculation for you: 2 years, 43 pages & hundreds & hundreds of happy customers later, & you're the only person worried about calculations... Don't buy the product if you think that it will cause you to die, dude. LOL at your concrete answer. Hope that suffices.

I care about my wife and son driving the vehicle and having to be in that situation. If you don't care about the well being of your passengers, that's on you. I'd like a simple, yet assuring answer to my question. If you cant answer it, shut up and mind your business.

He gave you a simple, yet assuring answer. & then I reiterated it for you. Again, "safety features and airbags are designed to function on someone who is less than 5 ft tall and well over 6 ft tall..." If that's not acceptable enough for you, then that's on you.

    Hey Nick,

I'm having a hard time understanding what you think would happen in an accident by adding 1.25" to the height of your seat. In most cases, power seats will adjust a seat up or down at least 1.25". Car manufactures design there safety restraint systems around passengers of all shapes, sizes and weights. 1.25" is insignificant to the safety restraint systems.

If the vehicle manufactures calculations on there Safety Restraint Systems were readily available, we would be happy to run the calcs. We certainly aren't the only company selling seat lift or seat extend products and I've yet to see any other manufacture (large or small) provide the type of calcs you are requesting.

Probably not the answer you will be satisfied with but I didn't want it to go unanswered.

    Thanks again,
    Steve

Installed Front Seat Jackers on the driver’s side yesterday. Although I’ve only got about 30 miles on them, my first impression is positive. They raise the seat enough to make you feel like you’re actually in a truck and allow for even wider range of positioning combined with the power seats.

I've been following this thread and I'm curious about this product. I find the stock seat position to be rather bench like and a bit awkward. But, I'm 6'1" and have the wheel raised as high as possible, and my knees still have to be awkwardly slid under the steering wheel when I get in and out. Curious how other taller fellas have found these seat jackers to impact the daily in and out of the truck...

When I finished the install and got in the truck my legs hit the steering wheel. There was enough adjustment with the power seat and steering wheel that it no longer interferes. I have the steering wheel nearly up all the way and pulled all the way out. I have long skinny legs (34” inseam), but am only 5’11”.

wow... i’ve had my truck for a couple years now and I knew the column tilted, but I didn’t know it telescoped until I read your comment. LOL! Just pulled the steering wheel closer towards me and, holy cow, much nicer!

I've had my front driver and passenger side seat jackers in a week. Been debating with getting the rear seat jackers. Honestly, I'm happy with just the way the fronts work. Overall, highly recommend these.

There’s not a lot of adjustment, but it’s enough to make a difference in comfort.

So out of curiosity are most people just getting the front jackers or are you also getting the rears as well?
