    2011 Suzuki DL650-ABS V-Strom

For sale is my V-Strom 650. 28,000 miles. It's in great mechanical shape, with some minor cosmetic blemishes. It has always been well maintained and has been garaged during the time that I have owned it. All wear items are maintained to spec and are at least at 70% life, if not more. All maintenance records / warranties are on paper and come with the bike. Tons of add-ons (see list below), most notably a Sasquatch full suspension set for a 240 lb rider (adjustments to go either way in weight). Clear California title, and California registration is good until May 2018.

This bike needs nothing. I just returned from a 7,000 mile trip to Ohio and back, and it was 100% during that trip, and I would climb on it and do it again today if I wanted to. It is absolutely ready to go anywhere, right now.

I'm selling because I want another motorcycle, but don't have room to keep numerous bikes. I already have a 2015 Strom set up exactly like this one so there is a lot of duplicity of motorcycles in my garage, and this should go to make room for the next not-so-similar bike - my infernal wife has claimed half the garage as some sort of crafting space and my allotted motorcycle area has shrunk. Alternately for sale: 1975 model wife.

    The specs:

    650cc 90 degree V-twin engine
    6 speed transmission
    ABS brakes
    Chain drive
Approx 55 mpg (at 65 mph), normal range on a tank is 230 miles or so

    The recent maintenance:

Tires (OEM take offs from my other bike, have 1,000 miles on them)
    Wheel bearings
    Steering head bearings
    Swingarm bearings
    Oil and filter
    Air filter
    Brake pads
Chain and sprockets (currently have 10,000 miles on them)

    The add-ons:

    Suzuki OEM gel seat
    Madstad adjustable windshield bracket
    Pro Taper ATV-Mid aluminum handlebars
    Oxford heated grips
    Barkbusters aluminum handguards
    Battery Tender connection
Happy Trails SU rack for saddlebags (hard or soft) with tool tube
    Off road foot pegs
AltRider engine crash bars in black stainless steel
    Weld86 skid plate
    Suzuki OEM centerstand
    SuperBrace fork brace
Spiegler stainless steel braided brake lines
    Fork gaiters
Sasquatch suspension set at 240 lb +/-, Race Tech valved front forks set at same weight

    Comes with:

    2 factory keys
    Factory tool kit
    California plate until May 2018

    The cosmetic blemishes:

Rear fender is dull and “gray” colored from UV
Rear wheel has grime and chain lube fling-off all over it – I just ride, I don't clean, so it's thick
    Small, light scratches from brush
Black finish wearing off on frame and sidestand from boot rub
    Centerstand has some rust spots
I like stickers and you might not, so there could be residue. Get some WD40.
Uppermost part of exhaust heat shield removed to accommodate the bag mounts

$4000 .... I might could consider a trade for a (first choice) a BMW Sertao... or a DRZ400S... or maybe another more dirt oriented dual sport. No KLRs. Maybe a DR. Who knows. Try me.

I also have the Pelican 1520s with HT hardware, and a Wolfman Explorer Lite available if the buyer is interested, for an extra cost. See first photo, below.

I'm in Ferndale, California; which is off 101 about 15 miles south of Eureka. I'm happy to assist in delivery, ride it to you, assist in pickup for fly and ride... basically you tell me what you need and I will try my level best to make it happen.
