FS: Tuned Tacoma ECM *SOLD*

I'm selling my spare ECM that was tuned with HPTuners by @JustDSM (engine tune). Asking price is $320, shipped. It works well and just removed it from my truck. I've been using it since I received it in August 2020.

This ECM was used in my truck which is a 2014 Tacoma V6, Auto. My truck's engine is stock. ECM No. is 89661-04G60. If you need help finding your ECM number, I can help you find it.

It's been great working with JustDSM and he has offered the same great assistance with the buyer. JustDSM is able to modify the tune with HPTuners as he does hold the license. You can contact him on this forum if you choose to seek his services.

The ECM does have my VIN listed on it, but it will NOT affect it pairing or running your truck. JustDSM can program your VIN if you'd like for $10 if you ship the ECM to him. My understanding is the VIN is used for emissions testing compliance/compatibility.

The tune helped improve the throttle mapping and sluggish feel that some of the 2.5 Gen Tacoma's experience. It helped with better pickup from a stop and a slight improvement in MPG. For more info, see: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hp-tuners-for-2005-2015.600793/

 

The $10 VIN update fee will also include a tune update to match whatever your setup requires (N/A only).

This ECU can be converted to TRD S/C spec (or one of my custom HPTuners S/C tunes), but please coordinate directly with me via PM for those matters.

 

@Musubi3 What are you switching to instead? The thought of having to go back to stock on mine is awful! I too had Justdsm tune mine, and was completely amazed at the improvement.

I agree, the tune really woke up the truck. He did a great job.
