    i have done lots of wiring with AC, but have very limited automotive wiring experience. So my question is, I am considering putting in an extra fuse box, would this setup work with that?

    No. The remote is prewired with a new bed mounted switch so all you will need to do is (4) crimps and install the new switch.

    so if I ordered now and had you send the remote later, I wouldn't have to change anything? Oh wait I reread, so I would have to install the new switch, or is this something you could send out now?

    You would end up with an extra switch, yes its OK to order now if you would like. I would send a regular bed light kit with bed mounted switch, now. Later I would mail a pre-wired remote / remote module, all you need to do is remove the original bed switch and install the new remote module/switch combo. It will include install instructions, its really only 4 crimp connectors.
