Hey @mattgecko thinking about puddle strips for lighting up my entrance under my nerf bars. Hoping to tie into my dome lights. Any thoughts or products.

Hey @mattgecko, can I also get the install instructions for the under bed lights to see how doable it is? And just to confirm, zero interference with the factory tonneau and adjustable rails/cleats? Thx!

The lights are mounted under the bed rails and will not interfere with anything.

    PM sent.
    Thanks Matt

I got mine installed last night, it took me maybe 30 minutes at the most, I still need to tidy up the wires a little bit but that’s what days off are for. It was really nice being able to find all my stuff this morning!

This is why I hate this site. I have a 17 dbl cab short bed with a gator fx5 cover and think I probably have to have this. Add me to the list of peeps wanting install instructions so I can be convinced to order from you.

    Hey Matt,

I have a "Roll-n-lock" cover on the bed of my Taco.
I would love to get these from you but because of the "bucket" that is attached to the front part of the bed to hold the rolling cover I would need extra wire between the sides and bed lights if I was to get this from you.
Have you made one for this set up before? Mine is a 2011 short bed.

    Thanks

@mattgecko have you or any customers tied the bed lights to the factory cargo light switch (which toggles between off/doors/on)? Just picked up a 2018 Pro and would love to try it out. I’m in Santa Clara so maybe I could pick up and you could give me some pointers too? :D

I have a toolbox currently, so would be interested in a light strip for the inside of that too. Where’s the power and switch for that setup?

    Thanks!

I can tell you my tool box lights are tapped to the hood light fuse link under the hood, ground under the bed to a bed bolt and I put a toggle switch inside the tool box. Works great. The single fuse line is capable of covering both lights on the single fuse with a simple tap.

Thanks. Tool box may or may not be permanent, so I might just stick with something battery opporated for now.

It is very simple to remove later with only the 2 wires coming from the tool box. I felt the same way but I have a history of keeping a toolbox in all the time. It sure is convenient and super bright.

Matt, please send instructions for the bed lights. I have an Undercover Flex tonneau and want to make sure there's no interference before ordering. Thanks and happy new year!

    Hi Andrew,

Yes some of my customers have wired the bed lights to the factory cargo lights. Due to liability I don't provide instructions to tie into factory wiring but the info has been posted on TW.

For the Tool box LED strip, a quick disconnect plug could be used.

    Thanks Matt
