Did you add a relay to your set-up? Is it necessary?
I know nothing about how relays work.

I did not. No it’s not necessary for small runs of LED strips.

So, a relay is used when the existing wire cannot handle the amount of power you are trying to get from it. Like, if I was trying to tie a 30” S8 bar to the dome light circuit, that won’t work, it would pop the fuse first. To get around it, we would use the dome light circuit to power a relay to then power the S8 bar.

In our case, since the LED strip lights are so low power, the existing circuit can handle it no problem.

I have a 6' bed in my '19 Sport. I also have a Diamondback tonneau that uses those C-clamps to hold down the center portion. Wondering if these LED strips will fit properly under the rails with that setup? Been looking for a bright lighting solution to the dark bed since Toyota removed the bed lights and the driver-side glove box for some reason...

Yes they do, the clamps go inside the rails, these LEDs go underneath.

Bit curious....I have a diamondback on my bed, as well as molle panels that stretch along both sides all the way. The molles will block light so I'm thinking of a different solution.

Are there half length version available? I was thinking of mounting them on the underside of the diamondback panels, so I can freely open them up (the wires connecting would meet in the middle crossbar)

I'm interested in this as well and also have the Diamondback. One thing though, I'd recommend you make sure the connectors in the crossbar are quick-disconnect because (at least for me) I'm constantly removing the first panel to fit larger things in the bed.

Same here, quick connect would be awesome, otherwise my plan was to leave slack in the line/mount them on something that is removable.

Saw the PM just on the road and will respond soon!

Do you by chance sell just single led strips? Looking to put one on the underside of my tailgate to light my license plate

Bought these when I first got the truck. Regular set, not thinking about that I was getting the Softopper. A little wire and a reroute and the whole thing is lit. Thanks for making an awesome product.

@mattgecko I’m interested in the light option for the diamondback cover with quick disconnects as well. Can you please send me info/pricing please. Want the hood kit as well. Thanks!

Yes I can make that. The surface the lights are applied to would need to be flat (hard to tell in the picture if it is). I'll PM you.
