    Gun shoots great, just shot it this weekend and cleaned and lightly oiled it. Gun was re-barreled in 22 long from 22 short in the 1910's. This was done at the factory and is proof stamped to verify. Butt stock needs a new butt plate as existing one is not original, but they can be found on ebay and gunbroker. This was manufactured in 1898 and you can verify this at this site http://www.gun-data.com/winchester_Model_1890.htm this is a very early version of the 1890.

    No rust, some of the bluing left is turning brown which is desirable in these older guns.
