Why would you want to sell that great looking truck. You should just buy an old pick up and make it a trail rig

well... im gonna buy an old tacoma and hopfully build it up with the money i get with this tacoma haha. i know it looks nice but its not as offroad capable as i want it to be. im acually considering a 4wd conversion at this point.

4wd conversion is pretty expensive, but it all depends how much you want to keep your great looking truck and how much you want a 4wd, i want to do the 4x4 conversion...

i had a sweet ass deal with a guy down in florida for the tranny and the tcase with the shifter for $500.... 100k miles on em... i was sooo tempted to go get it but my dad (still the owner of the truck) doesnt want me to put 4wd myself. he wants me to have the factory installed 4wd soooooo he was like if you want it that bad sell it.... haha. but ill convince him! eventually... hahaha the conversion for the earlier models are around $1200

iv read up on the 4wd conversion for the new tacomas and they get pretty technical with the eletricals n shit. like u gotta get a new ecu with the newer tacos. thats why i considered doin one on mine since the 4wd is not electrical.

Thats something my dad would do...have the dealer install it. I dont think anyone has done a 2nd gen 4x4 conversion because of all the electrical stuff

i dont wanna do a SAS. i wanna maintain the conveince of a daily driver to commute 250miles from college to home but still wheel it when i want to and not have to worry about getting stuck on a wet grassy hill in the middle of the woods....

a soild axle is fine for a daily driver there is less to go wrong than with a ifs but it is all what you want it is your truck you will be the one driving it thats why there is such a huge after market for cars and trucks so if u want ifs i say go to the junk yard and take it all off the cheap way

im most likely going to end up doing that for sure. i never thought of taking it to the dealer to install it but if i did oh.... oh boy they would charge me up and around my ass.

id have to tools to do it in my garage to convert the front end. all i have to learn is how to do the tranny install....
