    Hi,

Today I was drving my 2011 4X2 regular cab around. When I left my house I had a little less than half a tank of gas. So I am driving around, and I look down, and the fuel gauge said I now had slightly more than 3/4's of a tank of gas. I had to go to work so I didnt have time to deal with it, I parked my car, and came back out 4 hours later to find the gas gauge in the same spot. I drove around for like 20 minutes or so and it gradually got back to where it was when I left the house. I know that sometimes gas gauges fluctuate when going up and down hills, but for the most part I was on flat, and my car was parked for 4 hours so the gas had plenty of time to stop swishing around in the tank. Seems to be working fine now. Anyone have an explanation?

No explanation I had a similar thing happen to me. About a month ago mine showed empty when I was a little shy of a quarter tank one morning. I was parked slightly uphill and it didn't move until I got a fill up later that morning. I've replicated the conditions a few times and that was the only time it happened.

I just had something similar happen to me yesterday. Went out back and was rompin around in the mud for about 15-20 minutes and started back to the house. Looked down at my gas gauge, it had dropped from full to 3/4 of a tank! Parked it for the night. Headed to work this morning and the gas gauge went back to just under full. Self filling gas tank? Heck yes! Did you guys ever figure anything out with this?
