Fuel leaks everywhere

anyone ever see this before? Truck has never been off road so not sure what or how this area got smashed.. Now the computer throwing check engine light, trac control light won’t turn off, towing to dealer now. And if you look close there are nice clean razor marks in there. Makes ya wonder.

Not that I can remember. Haha. But looks kind of deliberate. Kinda think someone was going to siphon my tank.

 

I’ve seen it when someone tries to steal gas.

 

Check under your hood too. Had a marmot crawl into my engine bay this past summer and chew threw my wiring harness. Asshole rode in there 3 hrs from the mountains and did it in my driveway. Insurance covered it.

 

was all that dirt wiped away when you discovered it or was that done by you feeling around?

 

I haven’t wiped anything away. This is the way it looked when I first saw it.

 

Someone sliced your stuff

 

definitely some tampering then, if it was still rather untouched or just a few scuffs a case could be made for road debris maybe, you'd see obvious rodent prints and clear gnawing marks from the teeth in my experience

 

These points and the missing chunk makes me think it is an impact fracture like driving over some road debris.

Yup it’s official, dealer confirmed someone sliced away inner fender and cut the hose. The bad part is I was the second truck in 2 days in for the same thing. Looks like the low life’s found the weak spot in our tacos!,,,

 

Wow! I didn't notice the cut fender liner in the first post. Now, it stands out.

Just not cool.

 

It's almost like it would have been easier to just unscrew that clamp with a 5-in-1 screwdriver.. ? Hope they cut themselves with their razor knife.

 

I have a feeling the dealers up here in the PNW better stalk up on hoses and inner fender wells.

 

Oh no! Im in PDX, but in a 1st gen. Gonna check around the truck cause that looks terrifying.

Horrible, sorry to hear. Someone drilled my Gen 1 tank for a few cups of gas after they couldn’t open the locking cap, I should have left a $20 in the cover with a note saying free fillup for being nice. I don’t put locking gas caps on my car anymore. Curious- did you have one?
