Now that I have all the time in the world on my hands, I may actually fix some stuff on the truck! The goal is to finally get this hydro assist in the truck between the holidays as I have 99% of the parts taking up bench space.

Trucks staying around for the foreseeable future. Trying to find a job in an area closer to wheeling, but decent paying jobs and being close to those areas dont really mix LOL!!

 

Awesome, it was a bummer to hear that you were thinking about getting rid of it!

 

If I land a good paying job in the midwest it's gone LOL!!!

 

Remember the cost of living will also be lower in those areas. All comes out to a wash.

What's annoying down there are all those dumbass taxes you guys have hidden in things like car registration fees. Oh pay your personal property tax on that evrey year.... dont know how TN does it, but noticed that in KY, NC, MO so far. It comes out to damn near a wash when I run the numbers.

I used to get the same stuff from the texans I used to work with. "Hey its so cheap down here", meanwhile they are paying high 3 figure HOA fees and astronomical property tax and paying more than I do in the bs taxes up here and having to get annual inspections on their car.

Running through the interview process for a place in NC now, the taco would basically have to be scrapped and rebuilt to comply with their inspection requirements, or it would have to turn into a trail only rig and f that noise. Having a tow rig and trailer are a PITA I dont want to deal with, all to wheel a tacoma on 37s. If I went that route it would be buggy time.

 

Idk. My tags cost $40/year and no inspection of any kind. Living is very cheap here. Now, drive to Nashville and it’s a different story.

 

No income tax in Tennessee. No inspections in my county. Like Carter said about $40/year for tags is all, living is dirt cheap outside of Nashville or maybe murfreesboro
