I know about that trick, I don't have a drill press and it's an excuse to play with the welder. I can hear my wrists snapping trying to drill through the motor mount with my Milwaukee hammer drill LOL!!

Did you put a bolt through both sides, or just one side of the mount?

Just on the DS for both motor and T case mounts.

Gotcha. I did my tranny mount but still have to do my engine mount.
Had too many vibes with my poly dual case mount so I got rid of it. Are you only running the factory tranny mount or are you also running a rubber dual case mount too?

Running the OEM mount on the T case only.
I'll get an updated pic later. The posted photo is of the OEM cross member before my SAC.

Here you go... pic after SAC prior to drilling the mount for the added bolt.

Went wheeling yesterday, it was hot as hell and the truck stayed nice and cool idling around the woods with the AC blasting. Whoever says the tiny 4cyl 5lug radiator can't keep the 3.4 cool is full of it! My steering was overheating which was annoying, I really need to pull the box and rebuild the inner fender well to keep the exhaust away from the steering box. I also found out my exhaust manifold is leaking, I thought it was ticking valves, but apparently not!

    Sweet!

Guys I know with the 3rz radiator in their sc 5vz, solid axle with 40s and carrying dead weight from bumpers to skid plate have no issue with overheating. Here, summer heat wave will exceed 110 degree, two days ago was 115, yesterday was 113, and today is projected at 108. These guy DD their vehicle and drive it to and from the trail in these hot condition too.

Same here, trucks driven everywhere, it was in the high 90s yesterday with heat index around 105*, so nice and humid.

I can't remember if it was here or on pirate4x4 with people complaining of overheating with the small radiator.

I read it here recently. Not complaining about overheating but extremely worry and scared.

I was nearly overheating my reggo radiator climbing up to Mt. Washington with the ac blasting but it's an aftermarket parts store one, which is likely the issue more than anything else. What's the part number for the one you run?

A tawainese denso off rock auto I believe. I also have the factory fan with a new(ish) clutch rounding out the cooling system. My truck was overheating back when I was IFS and the clutch was crapping out. Try replacing that.

I do have an all new clutch and bracket sitting in the garage when I thought the bearing was going out but it turned out to be the AC idler for the 39405345 time.

I would try putting that new clutch on, it may fix it!

I think I'll grab one of them smaller radiators after I do. Want to get the smaller rad so I can raise my skid up and gain a little approach angle up front. Those pics are Uwharrie right? I gotta get down there one day.

I’m 3rz but had no problems in 110*+ heat in Moab a few years ago blasting the AC and idling on the slick rock all day with the smallest 2rz radiator. So damn hot I had some crazy stuff happening with fuel boiling in the tank from the radiant heat off the slick rock too

Yup, I'm finding out there's some other places up in VA that I want to check out as well. Either way, hit me up if you want to come down to URE or are in any of the bordering states and I'll meet up and hit the trails. URE is cool, but you can run it all in a few hours, it's good if it's part of a larger trip hitting some of the other parks along the way. It's a real good shakedown area, at least for me.

If you haven't run Potts yet, I highly recommend it. Big Dogs is cool too when they have events.

Just found out about Potts, I definitely want to hit it up, it's less than 3hrs from my house as well, it would be a nice day trip.

Potts is fun especially camping overnight at the top. It’s 3 hours from me. Once I get truck up and running I’ll join.
