Found a place that stocks zero lift fj62 springs, time to spray and pray with the credit card and hope they aren't backordered a million weeks. If they are backordered all to hell, it turns out waggy springs are within an inch of these springs length wise, the only issue is they are shorter which will cause some issues with the tire, firewall, and steering into the oil pan. At least there are other options out there!!

New type of u bolts plate from ruff stuff, made for a bump stop. I'm going to add my air bump pads to these. I hate my current setup, hopefully I can do something different with these. Also have 4 ubolts in there despite only ordering 2:thumbsup:

Ordered it well before black friday! I'm trying to get this truck back on the trails before a run with a local club I'm wanting to join in a few weeks.

Got a chance to take some shit apart, was hoping to have the new springs under it, but Amazon didn't deliver my bushings today.

So I took the driver's side spring out:

Who knows how long it's actually been broke, I did have to replace a center pin on this side a few years ago, hmmm

Hope to have the new springs under it tomorrow if the bushings show up. After that i have to re do my bump stop pads, and do a brake job and it will be back in action!!

I was hoping to have the truck driving tonight but between fighting ubolts, realizing I jacked the truck up a dumbass way that made my life harder than it needed, and my damn center pin needing to be ground down to fit in the perch, I'm ending the evening not much further than where I started. I always enjoy reading people's screw ups so here is one:
I jacked the truck up a stupid way the other night, I put a jack on cribbing under the driver's side frame rail and left the pax side tire on and took the driver's off to get the spring out. When I cut the ubolts off the entire truck leaned to the driver's side. All evening I have been fighting u bolts because the damn pax side tire has been side loading the spring. I now have the truck supported by both frame rails and life is much better.
    IMG_20211128_211315918.jpg
Due to the above situation I have been beating the fuck out of u bolts for the last few hours to get them over the axle tube, I never remember them being this difficult when I did the swap initially.

Issue 2: my leaf spring center pin but is too big for the hole in the perch, so I have to grind that down, which means the side I have been epically battling has to come back apart:
    IMG_20211128_211636026.jpg
So I decided I needed a win and worked on the pax side:
    IMG_20211128_203912070.jpg
This side was a breeze until I assembled evreything and realized I forgot to grind the pin down on this side, and this is where I stopped LOL
    IMG_20211128_210243759.jpg

Positive I got my ubolts plate for the drivers side trimmed.
    IMG_20211128_194407817.jpg

And for some humor, my shitty old air bump pads:

Springs sit nice and flat, no Carolina squat which is awesome!!

I won't tackle the bump pads for about a week while I put some miles on it to break the springs in and retorque evreything.
