I have to share this funny story my friend told me the other day, so his daughter brings home this "boy friend" the other day,

Pants all drooping down, typical teenager today, he starts talking to the boy as a father would. Invites the boy down to his office and points to two hand guns on the desk. There is a 9mm blued Sig and chrome plated 22 Ruger.

He asks the boy to pick which one he likes better, the boy points to the 9mm Sig, so then he says, good if you f around or hurt my daughter in any way that’s the one I'm going to use to shoot you with.

So later that night the daughter and mother found out and were all mad at the dad. What's up with that? I'm with him you gota protect the family.

I have two 6 year old stepdaughters and one 20 year old daughter. I'll be cleaning weapons of some sort whenever someone comes to pick any of them up.

Oh, and I'll teach every one of them to shoot.

I have a 16 year old, Junior in High School, ranked 8th in class, played basketball, Varsity Cheerleader, one who can do double back hand springs, n back flips. Class council, etc. Popular, smart and pretty.
I made sure she was armed with high self esteem...I am at her games and folks in the community recognize me as I am also active in my son's football association. Some of those same folks recognize me at the range, know I regularly shoot 3-gun :infantry:, but I made damn sure the boys who came a calling just "happen" to catch me either reloading a shit-ton of ammo or cleaning rifles in the garage. Seems to set the right tone for "you guys be home by 10:30" speach...

Sorry but that wouldn't intimidate me. I wouldn't hurt a girl in the first place. But that's going too far. I may get bashed for this but using guns for stuff like this and anything other than for on the range or hunting just sends out the same message as a guy driving an F-250 with 12" of lift. Trying to intimidate. I would be protective over my daughter as well. Just in a different way.

I like Charles Barkley's approach, he said "I'm going to kill the first one and let the word get out".

You could almost count that as a threat against the boy....not that he didn't need threatening but may be a little to far. I think cleaning the ole pistol or AR in the living room would have been sufficient.

haha i remember distinctly when i was little and my older sisters boyfriends would come over for the first time to pick them up he just let them come in and be really nice to them and let them hang out with my sister for a little while, then when they decided to go somewhere or on a date my dad would just give them this look that i think said "i swear to god if you even think about touching my daughter i will fuckin cut your dick off and feed it to you" they all learned very quickly not to mess with him haha.

one time some guy did somethin stupid as fuck at my house and my dad saw and he got pissed and started to yell at this guy (18 year old big ass football player manly man) and he left my house crying it was awesome haha

Ahh-good that you never hurt a girl, be respectful. Intimidate, no...more like deterrant, think Cold War. I would just like to have been able to give a bit more "pause" in the OODA loop in the teenage male mind. Just enough to tip the scale towards better judgment. Enough to pause and make better choices. Can't control um but hopefully steer um right.
