So... I just installed the MESO puddle pods with the switch this past weekend without a hitch - everything works perfect! (...on the pods)

Except.... my ditch light keeps tripping the fuse off the switch I bought on Amazon every time I turn both the ditch light and puddle pod together.

Ditch light is wired directly to the battery so I'm not sure why it's doing this...

    I used this switch:

And the fuse is an F2AL250V inside this guy circled in red:

*picture with red circle isn't mine...just an example I found off Amazon.

I wired it according to the wire diagram:
Blue - accessory for top button (didn't use)
Red - accessory for bottom button (wired to ditch light)
Yellow - button light (didn't use)
Black - ground (connected to ground of ditch light relay)
Green - 12V (connected to ditch light relay that goes to the battery) - this is also the wire that has the glass fuse that keeps burning every time both puddle pods and ditch lights are on simultaneously.

    thoughts?

EDIT: Once I replace the fuse with a new one, I am able to use the ditch light again... up until I turn on the puddle pods.. then poof!

Is the fuse rated for the current draw?

That’s my thoughts too. That’s a 2 amp fuse if I’m not mistaken. What is the current draw of the lights you are operating? Is that fuse for the backlighting of the switch?

Are you using the switch on the 12v Power side or the Ground side to the relay?

2 amp is an easy blow fuse. If each light set works by itself but it blow when both are turned on then the amp draw/load is too high for the fuse and possibly wiring. Remember, fuses are there to protect the wiring, NOT the load. A dead short on either light would always blow when that light was turned on regardless of the other one being on or off.

I guess I just wasn't thinking...still new to this. I figured to leave that 2A fuse be since it came with the switch.

There's another fuse on the relay on the same line to the battery as it goes:

    BATT --- 15A ------ 2A --- SWITCH

can I just cut that 2A fuse out and directly connect the wires together?

Just looked at DD's site and they list the SS3 Pro pod at "Current (amps @ 13.2V): 2.7"

Just found out... I'm abit over... pod's at 2.7

No backlight it's just the lighting pod itself. The 2A is what came with the switch. There's a 15A on the lighting pod's relay as well, both on the same line.

Not sure what you mean... can you please explain? (I'm still a noob on wiring)

The 2 amp should be for the switch and relay, the 15amp for the lights, you didn't wire the lights directly thru the switch did you? It likely should be drawing the actual light load thru a relay. You have the light load wired on the relay side, correct? [low voltage or amp draw controls high voltage or amp draw]

Thanks mucho! That clears a few things up for me!

I’m still sorta confused on #86 and #30 are on the relay.

here’s the wires I’m working with:

So if I’m reading the relay diagram correctly, the positive wires on the lights go on to #87 and ground is #85

In my diagram how will the line look that’s going from C to A with an in-line fuse?

And in your diagram, the supply line with a 3A fuse goes straight to the battery? (Now I’m assuming there’s two lines going to the positive terminal of the battery: 1.from the relay and 2. from the switch)

    Thank you all sooo much!!

    that last diagram helped tons!

    Done and checked twice :D
Tried to clean it up best I could. And fixed the relay via double-sided tape. I’m looking to get a switchpro in the future (once I read up more in electricals lol)
