I know the game wardens are part of the troopers here, one of the most powerful guys on the street. Can’t talk to the pay it they can make your life hell.

Could always look towards the state trooper system as well, but you would need to go through their academy just like any other.

I'm really open to suggestion, of course if the job makes me locate to a city that would be considered "less desirable" per se by my relatively loose standards of living location/ desired community living standards, then I probably should continue my search.

Interesting. So they basically have wardens as an attachment to their state trooper program. I could see why they are powerful. Lol.

Sugar Land is a suburb of Houston and you won't know where one begins or ends for the most part. Corpus is definitely not a suburb as it is 3 hours away.

Houston is a big city and as such it tends to lean left but the suburbs are a different story. If its a concern, look at the results by county for recent elections. That said, the lines are not the same here as they are in California. While there are nuts on every side, lots of left leaning people here are more libertarian gun owning left than crazy government control left.

Well I definitely would not mind getting into the technical aircraft industry. So it sounds like that is a good starting point as far as that side goes. I know a couple of you already suggested where to search on page 1, so I'll take a look here very shortly!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the suburbs are a great feel for me. I'd like to stay away from general big cities while still maintaining the capability to have access to them with a relatively decent commute if necessary.

The Game Wardens are part of the Texas Parks and Wildlife division. They have have pretty expanded powers. I’ve met a few were happy with their job. Also maybe The Texas Rangers which is division of State Troopers. They have unlimited jurisdiction. Basically their jurisdiction is wherever they are standing. They go where they want when they want.

I was talking about being toward the middle of nowhere and yes I realize that as the only place I visited in Texas is Galveston. I guess I should have been more specific about said ocean actually having blue Water and waves consistently above 6”. Part of the appeal for me if being somewhere less populated and the ocean definitely draws people in.

I know y'all mean well but don't bother selling the Gulf coast to a someone from California. You're just going to disappoint them.
