Ok, the speed sensor that I had to put in mine was a Carquest # ECC 72-3872. My Tacoma has a 3-plug connector and I believe the older ones had a 2-plug. The three plug slides right in and works great after you extend you speedometer cable. You may not need that since you got your tranny out of a Tacoma and mine came out of a 4Runner. The HoeRunner used the ABS as the speed sensor from what I have read. I had the luxury of working at Carquest so on my lunch hour I could just play around looking things up and cross referencing part numbers to see if they used the exact same part and not something similar.

pretty much every sensor on the tranny needs to be replaced, all the plugs look like who ever took it off the vehicle used vice grips to just yank the plugs and they are all cracked and missing chunks.. overall in good condition. i could see about getting carquest to order all the sensors we would need.... how expensive were they?

Most have a discount account that items can be run through and we can still receive credit for it. Ask if they have a college/preachers discount lol... A lot of that is just what kind of mood the person is to be honest with you. Just tell them you are looking for a good parts house and you want the best price they can do but not kill themselves... when people come in and bitch and moan to get it at cost, gets them nowhere...

nah, one thing about Carquest is we dont spend all the money advertising how cheap we are and we dont have the online codes... but that is just less factory overhead that we have to cover... idk about the store in your area, but we have most everyone else in our town pinned to the wall on price/quality
