I could have done a better job but they look good to me. Im not using them as steps just protectors.

This is what I did. A little elbow grease and done! Install went well! I have no issue with the protectors not going all the way to the seal. In fact, I like the look better!

The following is what I had done, installing the door sill protectors over the OEM vinyl to prevent the gap. So far it has held up fine, but a warning was given by G-Tek that the 3M adhesive was not made to adhere to plastics.

Here's the employee at Percision Powder Coat in Temecula Ca that does all your door sill protectors. He wears a respirator but I'm thinking about getting him some goggles...

I would go with Goo-Gone as Goof-off can remove some of the clear coat & paint if you aren't careful.

Second gen DC owners meet the G Tek Fab Door Sill Protectors 2.0!

    Longer fronts and rears!

DC version 1 lengths.. Fronts 20" Rears 16"

DC 2.0 version lengths.. Fronts 22" Rears 17"

I still have a limited supply of the original version I've reduced to $10 off until they're gone. They're just a bit shorter which isn't that big of a deal actually.

16 gauge aluminum powder coated Carbide Texture Black. Diamond plate.

16 gauge aluminum powder coated Carbide Texture Black. Non diamond plate.

Very nice install! Looks like you watched the video on the first post of this thread and got them snug into place.

You can be the official G Tek fab installations guy in your neck of the woods. :)

Whoa thanks! I better send more off to powder coat!

By the way they're powder coated aluminum not steel. :)
