Well sounds like it's next weekend. My new work gets off at 2:00 so I can be in Helen by 4:00, what trails do you want to do? I don't have to be back till 5ish Sunday.

Yay! I'm down for next weekend. I'm new to off-roading so I'm not sure where I'm capable of going. I have a completely stock tacoma. No sliders or armor, and I'm not looking to beat my truck up too bad. You think we are going to do any think in our trucks that would require sliders of heavy duty skids? I'd rather not do those haha.

You should be fine, Ive got a stock prerunner and Ive done trey twice and not had a problem.
@Skilit1990 you still in for this weekend?
So the plan is to camp at Trey Sat night and wheel Sunday. Who is in for camping and who is driving up Sunday to meet at the campground? I figure we will leave the campsite at 10:00 for wheeling.
Lastly would anyone be interested in doing a trail Sat late afternoon, I should be able to be in helen around 5:00, little late but maybe charlies creek?

I could do a trail Saturday afternoon, I might even camp at Trey Friday night just for giggles. Not sure what trail I'd want to do though, let me look through the ones I've got saved and see.

To me looks like the nearest to Trey are - Nimblewill Gap and Bell Mountain sound like they have both been neutered, Charlies Creek was fun, I dont know about Dicks Creek or Flatlands but they look fun.

GF and i are headed to Helen this afternoon, plan to explore a bit and hit trey mountain Sunday if anyone is around.

I explored beasly knob last year in my JK. Met some guys who were trying out a Cherokee Trailhawk. Fun area to mess around in, i camped up in there too (not sure if that's actually allowed). We were the only ones i saw while i was there. The trails are maintained and they appeared to be doing some improvements. Would be worth checking out if you're already in the area.

If Im off next Sunday I might be able to meet up with you guys in the helen area. It would be great to get and wheel some. Be honest though I have no damn clue how to find myself to trey mountain from Town, since Ive only been there once.

So are we going through chimney mtn road? When I was over there a few months ago it was pretty rutted out. We were about to take my friend's new diesel Colorado z71 down it, but we were worried about his rocker panels. So we backed out of the road and turned around at the mud pit.

Mud just makes it more fun right? I figure I'll pick up some 2x12 boards and make some basic traction boards.

I guess we should agree on if the weather is X bad then we cancel the trip. Are people ok with showers Saturday night with Sunday being cloudy? Wet camping and Muddy trails.

Yeah, each day the amount of rain gets less and less. Looks like it'll be scattered rain now instead of just a down poor so thats good. If it keeps going this way don't we should be okay to wheel. Who all is going?
