Having just been up there and getting within half mile of the lake its time to start planning the first camping trip of the summer! Start out with a fun but easier trail that goes up to a good spot. Heres some pics of when I was up there.. I bet that snow/ice will be melted in a month and we should be good to go.. Hopefully.

    Limit of 7 trucks

Where: Gallagher Head Lake/Fortune creek Trail
    When: June 6th-7th
Trail is rated as "easy" according to nwjeepn.com but I'd say the second half is more difficult... Don't need a locker but clearance with a lift is highly advised.

Put me down. Should be free that weekend and be a good test run before the trip at the end of July!

Put me down as in, although you guys should let a truck be a backup if it fills up *just in case* I destroy my truck in Moab haha. This is right after I get back!!

    haha got you covered!

Most of us will be camping but you do not need to! From experience though it is much nicer to relax at the lake and camp the night than head back the same day, to much driving unless you live close.

I wish!!! My boss(company) is asking for 6 days through July already. The overtime is great(and plentiful) for the pocketbook, but sucks at the same time! 117hrs in the last two weeks...

    I would camp this time!!
holy OT  that's what I've been doing for the past month and a half! Every two weeks is over 100 hours! My paychecks are awesome but I have no time to install all the crap I've bought for my truck with it hahaha

I want to go. My truck isn't lifted but I've been some gnarly places without damage. I tried to drive up the lower part of the trail to Gallagher Head Lake last year. I didn't realize it's best to take the road and hook up with the trail higher up, the info I found on the web wasn't clear. No body damage sustained. The next day we went to where the trail meets the road higher up and farther on the road.

    Damn!! That's ridiculous

Your more than welcome to but youwill hit your rear bumper a fair bit and possibly more. I ran the trail stock last year and destroyed my 7 pin and hit my bumper a lot. Also hit my crossmember (thank god) on a hidden rock in a puddle. Few trucks behind me heard it. The second half is definitely a bit more challenging because there are ditches to cross.
