So when covid hit a year ago I started coming up with ideas that could occupy my time and money. With out much research or planning I decided to build myself a camper to throw in the back of my Tacoma. A couple of weeks ago I finally got it in the back of the truck without any damage being done. I figured I post it up on here and see if there's any one that's interested in knowing what I did or would just like to take a look. if there's any interest I'll update as I go with my failures and success and what ever else goes onPXL_20210501_013028349.jpg PXL_20210501_012951659.jpg IMG_20200915_175743.jpg

    Welcome to TW!

That camper looks cool, I’d love to hear and see more about what went into making it.

Any plans for a window? Looks well made but maybe a bit claustrophobic. Great for wall space though.

I'll take some pictures of the interior in the next couple days. windows are in the future for it, at least one, i havent figured out the internal lay out completely so am not too sure what size and where to put one yet. plus good insulated windows are expensive so I'll pick away at it as my budget allows. Im also planning on adding a heater of some kind since I'm in canada and planning on using this for the snowboard season. a roof rack was also in my head but after driving down one of the windiest highways in my province last weekend I dont think adding any more weight to the top of it is a good idea so ive started planning on building a rear bumper with swingouts instead

thats the one I'm planning on going with. theyre a sealed unit, fresh air in and exhaust out through a double walled chimney. so shouldnt need to worry much about CO but the girlfriends already made me put a detector in anyway

Yeah looks to be a nice unit!
You certainly should worry about CO! You don't wanna wake up dead eh!

Looks like a big improvement on the looks of the Kimbo Camper! Definitely interested in seeing more pics. Nice work!

Any suspension mods for the added weight? I've got a Scout Yoho ordered that's supposed to arrive in December. I'm thinking of doing a sway bar in the rear, but will probably hold off to see how she handles first. I'm also running Deaver's, so weight isn't an issue, just the sway i'm concerned about.
