Torque multiplier. You input say 50ft-lb of torque and itll output much greater than that (amount would depend on the ratio of the unit you buy)

This is 158:1 if I remember right

I wouldn’t use it to tighten much of anything but loosening lug nuts is pretty much effortless. Just turn the crank and it just loosens them. No yank no huge push. Just turn and a little resistance is felt. I’ve had trailer jacks with more resistance

The crank and the extension are light aluminum, so not Ment to take abuse at all.

Entered the big leagues after my harbor freight corded angle grinder took a shit. Going to try to see if they'll replace it otherwise, figure I'll just test the Milwaukee by cutting the HFT grinder in half...

1.58 sounds like the normal. We use them more for torquing than loosening. But use a torque wrench and have it point checked to know ok 145ft-lb = X which is what we need. Trying to hit 600ft-lb =/- 10ft-lbs with a dial torque wrench, even with a ~6ft handle, can be hard. Any thing over 600ft-lb we switch to hytorc setups. Or for some stuff it gets a bit more involved with heating and protractors

There is nothing accurate about the tool I have, it’s strictly a “disassembly” tool. No bones just loosen the big stuff that normal air or powered stuff won’t.
The big money multipliers come under “special tools” the shop buys those. They don’t bounce around in a service van/truck for months/years waiting to be used.

I’ve got a corded grinder and am contemplating a cordless, cause damn it’s nice to have cordless tools. I use the shit out of my grinder. But hate dragging out the extension cord. I’ve already got a cordless drill, impact wrench, sawzall, circular saw, and jigsaw and use the shit out of them. I’m totally hooked on cordless tools.

I was thinking of trying their cordless. I didn't want to have to get another battery and charger considering I am already running Dewalt and Milwaukee. I really need to go and see if they'll exchange it or let me upgrade to cordless for little to nothing..

Otherwise, I need to get creative with how to kill this corded HFT once and for all.

I was in a pinch for a 1/2" hammer drill and HF fit the bill. Since I already had the charger and battery I said WTF and bought the grinder, so far so good. I've used the hell out of both the drill and grinder with no regrets. I love my DeWalt stuff but this fit the budget to use factor.

Half roll of det cord would do nicely. Of course that stuff's pretty restricted.

I’ve got this one and I have no qualms about recommending it to others. Takes 4.5” and 6” wheels and discs, has an auto brake that stops the spinning when you let off and runs like a champ. If you like buying the bundle kits I’ll warn you that the carry bag is not very desirable so I’d suggest looking at a battery bundle instead.

So what if its $88, 18 years of use till it broke and he's got a brand new tool. Try to get that warrantied on a non tool truck brand.
$88/18 years= $4.89 a year, and now he's got a new one to beat the shit out of for another 18 years in which time it would come to $2.75 a year.
We buy tool truck stuff that gets used everyday since we only pay one time and dont have to buy another when it breaks for the 20/30/40/50/60 years working.
    Sorry for little rant.
