Gonna be making myself a little electro magnetic grinding pad that I saw on YouTube. Should be perfect for cleaning up some products I sell. I'll post it up when its done.

 

Anyone build their own smoke machine to test evap systems? Thinking about building one.

 

Like a magnetic vice of sorts? Set it on, turn the magnet on and grind away without it slipping?

What’s your finished size planned on being?

 

Not very big maybe a 1'x1' square. I only bought one magnet since my parts that I'll be grinding/sanding are small.

The best part. My wife put it together for me!

 

First of (hopefully, but not limited to, a few or more) Tekton tools

 

Smoke generator mod 1. Creates pots of smoke with 10 seconds power and about 1 psi coming from the air tank.

 

Used mine for the first time yesterday on a job, gotta wear the new off of them. Different feel than the old ones they replaced ( I use Allen’s a lot) these replaced a set I’ve had for years that were well worn and starting to round.

 

Finally picked up a leaf blower.

 

Would love to see a write up on this too.

 

This is the basis of what I did. Parts (except wire) were all sourced from Home Depot. Tiki torch wicks are out on the gardening section.

Worked very well. 10 seconds of smoke and I found the evap leak.
