Man, thats the box that I keep pondering, that color! Missed the 399 sale right before xmas. Home Depot had a Husky box (black) that also came with the top cabinet for 598 but is just black.FC051C32-60D9-44E8-8CCE-F08CE353E0D4.jpg

I was going to buy that but did a lot of research, and they’re just not built nearly as well as the HF.

Different products altogether as my box is 44” and the end cabinet added 14.5”, so my total width is still a few inches less and I don’t have a top box. That Husky was appealing for the price and size, but once I looked a little less focused on it I didn’t like the depth (18”), the metal is thinner, the casters are kinda cheap, and the tracks don’t seem as strong at all. Not to mention, the main drawer on the Husky has a single track and the HF has 2.

It’s a ton of space for the price and would be a great box for home use, but I didn’t end up going that way in the end. A similar setup from HF is double or triple the Husky price.

@LTDSC has the all black 22” deep Husky box in a similar style, I think it was $898. It’s a hell of a lot of space for a good price. The 18” is pretty shallow for a box that size (width/height). The price is hard to beat though.

Good point! Yeah, my garage has become a mess and storage shed in one and I’ve got to fix it but I’m thinking a bit of after work laziness is playing a role in it not getting done.

Try bolting it to an old maple butcher block or something similar and bolt that to your table. The vice won’t come out of super hard wood like maple

Because of the restrictive covenants in my neighborhood I can’t even find anyone that’ll build an on-site storage building “on a slab, with architectural shingles, matching siding, and to the architectural quality and likeness of the existing home”. That crap will cost a small fortune.

I’m on 3 acres but as a guy that grew up in the country on acreage that could do anything with his land, I’m about ready for another farm. Work has been too mentally exhausting for me to do much afterwards and I’m sure now being firmly planted in middle age has nothing to do with it....lol. Where’s that Nugenix?

My main drawer is organized this way at the moment.

I ditched my Hansen socket organizers in favor of Harbor Freight organizers, which I actually like a lot better and work better with my 1/4” Craftsman sockets. The wrench rails I had laying around already, not sure where they’re from.

Work in progress for sure, especially since I’m adding more sockets to fill gaps, but the 44” is a nice width. Best of all, it was easy to organize quickly when I moved stuff out of my much smaller Craftsman box that I sold.

    SAE up top, metric below.
