Actually just spent $1800 at HD yesterday. Still need to get a 2x10x20’ and a 3.5x9.5x20’ PSL. Anyone guess what I’m building?

Already have a 4 year old daughter and 6 month old son , no more kids are forthcoming! She can bother my brother in law for anymore

Just building a simple 20ft wide 12ft off the house roof for my back patio area

 

I just scored one of those the other day..... free. Road side find.
Ford dealer down the road I am guessing someone left it under a hood. Just need a charger.

12'x20' roof over my back patio. 20' psl beam and 20' 2x10 gets delivered today, thats another $400. If i would have built this last year it would probably cost less than half what im paying now. Shit sucks.

 

try building a whole house right now haha , I start one Monday

 

no thanks! I should have got all the wood from the lumber yard. Would have been a little less. But I’m impatient and got it at homedepot.

 

Cost of lumber is stupid right now.

This was $375 worth. Granted, I live in a fairly small town with 1 hardware store that's usually 15% above what it would cost in a bigger city, but still. I think it was $18.97 for a 1x6x8' cedar board.

Slightly related, finally used the double bevel feature on my old ass chop saw. Only had it like ten years before that feature came in handy haha

No Wife was driving. Yelled at her to pull over. She eventually did and had to turn around. Afterwards she was like why are you freaking out. I said cause you past 6 driveway entrances that you could of turned into. She said whatever. She doesn’t realize...... I am a mechanic so she has noooo idea how much I have invested in tool.

 

This reminds me of a recent demoranch intro. His wife sold his guns for $100 because that's what he paid for them...

 

Those look almost identical to an old Craftsman set I have. And those are the wrenches I reach for first! Those things are fantastic.
