Some of that could be the grease. Mobile 1 grease has a tendency to "separate" and leak out of the grease gun. That's why I stopped using it. I pretty much only use red n tacky now since it holds up in the gun for a long time.

The M12 gun is a convince thing for sure. But makes it nice and easy...especially with the lock n lube coupler.

I wouldn't say Lucas is the best but it's always worked for me. I used to use mobile 1 but stopped since it kept leaking out of the grease gun and seemed to be a common complaint when I read around online

I use the Lucas red n tacky in a regular parts store gun and I don't have any issues with it leaking out.

    Do you have a compressor?

If so, Lincoln pneumatic is the way to go. The initial umph is enough to clean out just about anything and get the grease flowing.

I'm wondering if you got an axle grease version of M1?

The axle grease version is formulated to liquify quickly. The chassis lube version is not supposed to separate.

I've had the best luck using the cheapest axle greases for all the trailers I deal with. Remember, semi trucks and trailers use gear lube for their axle bearings. I want my trailer axle grease to be as close to liquid as I can get.

Any of the "tacky" greases work great for all the chassis work I do and they don't leak out the grease guns.

    A thing or two...
A guy that I used to work with in NM said that all the time.

How well do those spring compressors work? and which one would you recommend?
The auto parts stores one you rent don't work for shit on 2.5 coil overs because they hit the shock body on the upper clamp. Looking for another solution that isn't a $400 wall mounted spring compressor

It's an awesome compressor, I've used it maybe a dozen times. Not sketchy in the slightest IMO. Nothing bends under load or anything like that. Just use hand tools and you'll be set.

My buddy lent me this one to rebuild my coilovers. Worked fine on 2.5” shocks and was able to compress 700lb springs with some elbow grease.

Awesome. Yea I saw that one on Amazon and was wondering if it was any good. I'll give it a shot. Hopefully it's up to the task of some 700lb springs.

I'm sure that one works great, but I was looking to avoid getting one of the larger ones like that for the sake of keeping garage space currently.
