I’m slowly building up my collection of SK sockets and ratchets. I relegated most of my old Craftsman sockets and ratchets to truck tool box duty. I have an SK pro membership which gets you a socket a month for free so in two years I’ve paid $100 for 24 sockets. Obviously not a great way to start your tool collection but a good way to add odd sizes or multiple 10MMs of high quality sockets.

Guess they count as a "tool"?

But I finally tried out WAGO connectors. Instead of the "normal" wire nuts. The WAGO 221 model specifically with the lever to lock/unlock. Have to say I love these things use wise. Connection seems pretty solid (cant pull the wire out) and was super quick and simple to use. Strip wire, insert, push lever down, done. Not that wire nuts are hard but they can be annoying IMO. Especially with "used" wire. They are a bit expensive compared to wire nuts but for a homeowner who doesnt need many they are definitely a nice option.

O and if you want fun reads...go google WAGO vs wire nuts. Some of those forum threads are as good as Chevy vs Ford vs Toyota truck type ones lol.

O and dont mind this example. Its very temporary as we are running more power to the garage. (going from a single 20amp 120v to 50amp 220v). Just needed to be able to turn the lights on in the garage (and the run is actually turned off at the breaker now).

And some people shouldnt do home projects. Pretty sure the previous owner did this run. It was at least direct burial cable but was only buried ~3-6" in no conduit. Least that made it easy to pull out of the way for the excavator

Picked this guy up off of Craigslist for $50. Moar organization! Currently it’s keeping shit out of the way while I tear apart and reorganize the garage.

While I sit and enjoy a mezcal paloma contemplating garage reorganization, the wife is sitting in the new RTT tent (on the garage floor, I might add) sorting through some childhood memorabilia box that was living at her dads house for a million years. Yes she is a giant dork.

I do a lot of hydraulic work, angle wrenches, stubby and regular combination wrench’s work….most of the time.
I had to replace a hydraulic tank (warranty) on a machine a few months ago, the field rep for the equipment had a full set of these and it made the job SO much easier and manageable.
    I’ve started my own set..
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HQA1UZQ?_encoding=UTF8

Edit: when I ordered them, the price was $150….. and that’s what I was billed

Sweet, looks to be in nice shape!
I have a similar Walker-Turner floor model, it is missing that nice cap on the top.

I almost bought a floor model but it was way heavy. I'm not sure what will happen if I put a 1hp motor in this?
