I've got one of the knives as well. One of the nicest knives I've ever bought under $100. That's also a copy of another high end brand.
    https://toolguyd.com/harbor-freight-icon-knife/

Interestingly both are in rare supply everywhere. I don't know if they have production issues or it's intentional.

I bought one, I have 3 Leathermans and 3 Gerbers, a $40 Wave Plus knockoff is hard to say no to.

fyi, as much as i hate it as well, i would also recommend posting to facebook marketplace. while there's still some deal-hunters that look towards craigslist, most of the eye's are at facebook because of the free listings.

the $1 listing fee gutted them for a while. and as they say, "anything over 90 days becomes habit" and people habitually turned away from craigslist for a few months over that ordeal, which was what made way for marketplace to become 'king of the deals'.

it was unfortunate, but craigslist was also dealing with a major scammer problem they were seeking a way out of, and didn't anticipate facebook taking that much market share over minor listing fee's.

Hopefully you find some buyers for your stuff. I gave away that same air compressor and a ton of other things (as well as throwing them away).

Good reason to upgrade once you move to your new place.

    no argument there.

i believe the official statistic is that 'free' google generates something like 70% of it's income from data of people using their services...

Other then the craftsman compressor, little giant ladder, and snap on tools I would happily take even 1/3 of what I'm asking so they don't end up in the trash, unfortunately most of my friends have also moved over the last few years otherwise they would be getting most of the stuff. Seems such a waste if I end up throwing decent working tools in the trash.

if it don't go, just make a new listing with FREE in it, and stack it all at the end of the driveway. someone will take it.

I am moving across the country in a the near future and need to load my heavy 40 inch top/bottom toolbox into a uhaul truck, I am curious if yall have any better ideas for how to load it up the truck ramp. Planning on putting one tow strap around the box and us a come along and ratchet straps to winch it up the ramp. Any thoughts on carefully unloading it back down the ramp. I know its not a great idea but I will have to use the side rails for anchors, I will spread the load out to at least four of the rails.
I am thinking about buying a winch like this as I think it will work well for controlled unloading These are also options but I will have to deal with power Other though I have for loading is paying a flatbed tow truck to winch it onto the bed then pack the uhaul up to the tow truck bed and just roll it into the uhaul. I would still need to figure out unloading though.

40" box isn't that big and shouldn't be that heavy either. I've been able to load both 44" and 56" boxes solo or with some light help from others without too much issue - neither of those had top boxes though. No tow strap or coma long needed. Most important thing is to unload them! Once you pull out all the drawers, the boxes can usually be moved easily by one person. Taking the top box off the bottom may help depending on how heavy your setup is. Then put the drawers back in place once the boxes are in the truck.

I would also make sure the top and bottom box are bolted together or at least strapped together when loaded in the uhaul. I would definitely not trust the weight of the top box to keep it in place during transit so you'll want to make sure it's VERY WELL secured.

If it were me I would just put the contents of each drawer into an appropriate sized bin (black bins with yellow tops at HD) and label which drawer they came from. It is a little extra work and expense but safer for you, and the tools. Plus the tools are sure to shift anyway during moving so you will likely have to organize the drawers when you arrive at your new home.

My advice is to make sure that the ramp is dead level side to side. Unload and if possible remove the top box. Unload the bottom as necessary and you should be able to push/pull it up the ramp.

And of course make sure that the drawers are locked closed before moving.

you've found a guy whos moved his tools in a box before! pad all the drawers with some card board so the face does get scratched up. throw a couple straps around it or shrink wrap done both wrapped my service cart in shrink wrap to keep it from opening up. my 98inch box I did cardboard and straps. separate your boxes if its a top and bottom version trust me you're one good bump from the boxes ending up dumped all over the floor or tipping over. you wont need a winch, just a good friend to pull and one to push. and getting your ramp as flat as possible is a help. lock the wheels up and your should be golden strap it to the walls if able and youre golden.

like others have said though emptying the drawers is much easier.

How big is the uhaul truck? Most of them have a pretty nice and sturdy ramp. I've moved 3 times in the last 4 years and have found a system that works for me.

    1) Try and find an area to make the truck as low as possible. The goal is the make the ramp as level as possible. My last house had a driveway that sloped down toward the street. I put the truck in the middle of the road with the ramp going back toward the garage.

    2) Prep the box(es). I strapped the top box to the lower box using 3 straps (one on each side and one around the middle). If it is too heavy, you can empty like others have stated. I have not emptied anything out of my boxes during the last 3 moves.

    3) Load with care. I always put the turning casters on the downhill side while loading and uphill side when offloading. Visualize the whole process before moving the box to make sure you'll clear all the little bumps etc. If possible, load the box first in order to allow room for maneuvering once onboard. Also try and place the box (and all heavy loads) near the wheel line of the truck, maybe slightly forward. I usually try to leave a chunk of wood or wheel chock near the middle of the ramp (on the ground) in case something goes wrong. I had a fairly level ramp the last few times and was able to do the job solo, but a friend or two are a good idea.

I have a 52" box with a small box on top (see pics below for reference). Caster size, top box size and more are going to affect your situation. If you are going with a bigger truck (i.e. 26 foot or more), ask about lift gate options. Penske has awesome vertical lift gate options made just for this. Avoid the scissor lift style gate that cantilever out away from the truck as it is really hard to keep the box in place during lift.
