Stant 10504. Beautiful. A million thanks, OZ-T!! Ordering one now.
But I will NEVER adulterate a Toyota with Honda parts. Sacrilege!

Any non-tethered gas cap simply goes right in the top of your front right-hand jeans pocket while you refuel. Unless you're wearing a kilt, which is of course where the "just let it hang" thread comes in... :bananadance:

Locking gas cap would be nice and a factory release would be even better. I'll keep an eye out for a locking cap in the near future.

Toyota puts anti siphon screens in their fuel tank lines, thats the reason they donot lock. Only real concern is if you are worried about someone putting something in your fuel tank, then again, thats the reason for a fuel filter

Exactly. If your that worried about this I suggest you not buy a $35K+ truck and, instead, buy a house in a better neighborhood. :)

A lot of times we are in desolate areas (camping / offroading) and the last thing I would want is to be stranded in the middle of nowhere because of tampered/siphoned gas.

The Stant caps are what , $25 or so ? If it gives you peace of mind it's worth it , if you don't feel you need one , don't buy one

    Pretty simple

My luck would be more like 2am on my way home having to stop for gas and the dam key snaps off and I can't get the cap off.

That's a scenario I would hate to be in. Haha
I guess if it were me, I would only use the locked cap when on camping trips, etc.

I would get a key ring from my bank and put the gas cap key on and leave it in one of the cup holders inside the truck. Don't have to carry it around that way.

I once had problems with someone stealing my chainsaw gas can out of my truck bed. I bought a 4 pound bag of sugar and mixed it up with 2 gallon of gas and left it in my truck bed. I never had another gas can of chainsaw gas stolen from me again.
