gas light

    header,short rack and pinion, heavy duty shocks, grill guard, flowmaster exhaust,pacesetter header without catalytic converter, one 10 inch xant sub with a mtx amp, off road lights,diamondplate tool box,rhinolined inside cab,ngk plugwires.
    does my 1996 tacoma sx have a gas light indicating when i am low on fuel just curios to know if the bulb is bad or not.

    Yes the 1996 has an Empty light.

    Once your truck is empty all the lights int eh dash turn on and the motor shuts off.

    To help prevent this look at the Fuel gauge. When it is near E go fill up.
    When you are on E it might be to Late....

    I am not sure why people need a Light to tel them they are low and near the end. When you have a gauge that works fine.

    true but i do not have a guage that works thus wanting to know about light

    lol they want 300 buck to fix a stupid guage so i figured illl just wing it havent ran out of gas yet

    32x11.50 and K&N filter drop in
    Only the V-6 came with a low fuel light, no 4 cylinders had them.

    You can do the work your self.

    it is like 4 to 8 bolts to drop the tank and replace the sending unit...

    it needs no wires all the way up tp the guage

    Al you need is new wires. that is pretty easy... in these trucks.

    The dash is remover pretty easy. the tank is not that bad.

    The other way is use a sheet of paper and mark the milage before and after a fill up and keep doing the math.
