That's about what I get, maybe slightly better in the summer. Most of my driving is around town. Even highway driving though, I don't get more than 18.5MPG on tank average.

You have to keep it 70 mph and below AND drive for a long stretch on the freeway to see decent mpg (20mpg plus). If you do short trips even on the freeway and even babying it, you'll see crap mileage

I still say all these manufacturers that put the bogus MPG ratings on the window sticker should have to pay. I can see a class-action law suit making them stop these unreal estimates. My F150 said 19-24. It never averaged close to that. My Tacoma said 18-23, same thing. I never even averaged the bottom number of the window sticker range on any tank of fuel I ever put in them.

I purchased a new 2020 Toyota Tacoma SR5 DC SB 2WD. When I first got the truck back in January I was averaging around 18 mpg combined driving conservative. When I had a heavy foot I got around 16 mpg combined. My range was around 321-330 miles on average regardless how I drove. When I passed 3,000 miles on the truck, I now get 21.7 mpg combined driving conservative with my range increasing to 375-380 miles with 19 gallons used.Technically it could go longer because it has a 21 gallon tank. My best practices are not to accelerate quickly which hard not to do. Also keep it 70 and below on freeway for optimum fuel economy with this truck.

The only time it's under or near 19 is when I'm towing a trailer...

My truck has averaged over 20mpg since new. The only tanks that have been under 20 were ones where the truck pulled a trailer.

EDIT: Took these today. FWIW my truck has only been on one long trip, otherwise it has been within 150 miles of home since new.

I get better fuel /mileage in town (about 16-17mpg), but I don't have a lot of stop and go....highway is about 15-16mpg but I run 70 and "over." If I keep it under 70, say 60-65, it'll do about 17-18...at super slow speeds (under 60), no stops, slow acceleration, etc., I can squeeze about 20-22mpg. I also live in a VERY hilly area with a lot of tight turns. I'll bet if I took it to the OK panhandle I could get well over 24mpg. going town to town, flat terrain, no stops and keeping it under 65mph.

When first got my 2016 Taco OR I noticed my kms/litre was low. So I decided to switch my intake to a TRD intake that comes with the high flow K&N filter. The other thing I did remove the fabric baffle just above the filter!
    In doing this I went from 530-550kms/tank to almost 700 kms/tank !!!!!!

Not what I said at all. I said the Tacoma, in my experience, didn't come close to averaging the mpg that is posted on the window sticker. That being 18 town 23 highway. I never got mine to average even the lower number of 18 on the highway. I knew the Tundra didn't get good mileage. But what I DID say about it is that it indeed averages right in line with what the claimed mpg on the window sticker says. It's sticker says 13 town 17 highway. In mixed driving it gets between 15-16mpg. And it doesn't seem to make a difference on the interstate if I set my cruise to 78. It still gets about 16-17 on the interstate. That's better than my Tacoma got at that speed. And again, I think these manufacturers should somehow pay for way over-stating their projected fuel economy. And ALL of them are guilty of it.

when i cruise at 90-95 in arizona i barely got 10mpg.
    when i drive 65 i get about 20mpg
    no reason to sue toyota.
if you want better gas milage youre going to have to slow down.

    this quote from
    Texas Gringo
That is the real mileage for how you drive.
Mine is lifted, bigger tires, winch and brush guard, and hard bed cover.
Mine gets the following on intestate
    20+ highway at 65 mph
    16 highway at 70
    14 highway at 75
    11.5 highway at 80
I’m at 70,000 miles, and the 3” lift and 285/75/16 Toyo C/T cost me about 2 mpg across the board.

I know. I told myself today while I was filling that 38gallon tank on my Tundra for $1.47/gallon, if it stays like this for a while I can handle it. Heard some places down by the IL/KY border were at just over a dollar a gallon!

Took some pics this week. I drive 82 miles round trip every day to work. If I keep the speed at 60 or below I get stupid good mileage. 70 mph plus it drops to 18-20mpg. I have about 10 miles of some light city traffic then the the rest is 2 lane roads with 55 mph speed limit. 2018 pro on 265/75/16s.
