    This isn't a criticism, but one bit of caution I would suggest;
    One thing I notice when I'm wearing certain shoes or boots that have a big steel toe (i.e., bigger at the toe), is that they can snag sometimes on the plastic parts above the throttle pedal. This seems like it would exacerbate this problem, possibly cause it to happen when wearing normal running shoes.

    Wouldn't want anybody to get a case of unintended acceleration if their foot gets stuck in there.
    Not trying to talk anybody out of it, but keep it in mind until you are really sure how your foot fits in there.

    There's no messing with the gas pedal really. It's just a couple of bolts that come out and get replaced. You need almost zero mechanical ability to do this mod, but I don't know if it fits turd gen.

    If you use heel-toe downshifting then absolutely.

    I've been planning on modding my throttle to better facilitate heel-toe shifting as well. Hadn't thought about just giving the pedal a lift kit but seems like a good idea to me.

    No. They're at the exact same height, but after a few days I forgot there's even a spacer in there. Honestly, I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't doing a hand throttle. I've never used the heel/ toe thing in any vehicle. I've done it now just to see what it's all about, but my wheeling isn't technical enough to need to heel/ toe it.

    I do prefer where the pedal sits now though. I'm 5'7" with a 30" inseam.

    They aren't very big. No larger than needed to do the intended job. I think he was just going to round off all the edges. I wanted mine ASAP, so I told him not to mill it. It's totally hidden behind the plastic of the accelerator.

    I think you misunderstood what I mean. It's a machined part so why not put lightening / aesthetic pockets in it? I understand you can't see it but as a machinist myself I can't help it, I have to add fancy pockets, fillets, and engravings whenever I can. A 3/4" thick chunk of aluminum is kinda gnarly and I just can't look past the blockiness
