i want to buy a new 2010 Toyota Tacoma DC 4x4. I want to know how many people are actually having this problem with the truck suddenly accelerating. Because i dont want to go off-roading and my truck getting out cortrol. So i want to know if its actually safe enough to buy one or just wait until next year or until the issue is fixed with these gas pedals. Any suggestions will work. Should I buy one now..Yes or No?
    Thanks

Tacomas are not involved in any gas pedal issues.

    Build thread in sig...
first of all, welcome to the forum.

second, if you are that worried, don't buy a tacoma...but i can tell you (and so can everyone else on here) that there is no issue whatsoever with the tacomas accalerating. i'd go more into detail, but there really isn't anything to say since it isn't an issue with them

    Oh my god...

    I'm going to be nice.
If you get a 6spd.. and the gas pedal "sticks" push the clutch in, turn off the engine.

If you get an auto and the gas pedal "sticks"... put it in "N" and then turn off the engine...

seriously.. my dad is 67, been driving standard for 50 + years... it's not rocket science.... Besides, the media is on a full force attack on Toyota to get every bit of dirt they can. I love my Tacoma, it's a wicked truck. Every car manufacture has issues, deal with it.

I voted "no" because you shouldn't have the right to drive such an awesome truck if you don't know what to do IF the gas pedal got stuck? Seriously? Your kidding me right?

Sorry, I'm just sick of these threads. Get a Tacoma....

Now is the best time to buy a Tacoma. They have really good financing deals and cash back. They may not have them next year.

    just a couple comfort items.
So far the 07 Tacoma I drive is the only vehicle I have owned where the pedal hasn't stuck at some point. My Dodge diesel pickup was notorious for it! So was my old 70 Chevy p/u.

Yes buy one. Feel free to speed on the highway; when you get pulled over just hold down the gas pedal to 4k rpm until the cop walks up, shut it off, and act scared with adrenaline, tell him your pedal stuck...

You have a better chance of getting hit by lightening than having your gas pedal stick. Just remember, older Jeeps rollover, Ford Explorers rollover or just stop completely, but Nothing Stops A Toyota!
