Replaced canister and its much better. On very, very hot vegas days it will still smell a little gassy.

sometimes the gasket on top of the gas tank starts to leak, the cover where the fuel pump is bolted to

I do not have a bed on my taco, so I can see this gasket in plain view, I have never seen any fuel seeping from it. And I drive straight up and down drop-offs all the time.

I will pay extra attention to this gasket, and probably just replace it from your advice. I was going to buy a spare pump anyways. Part of my flatbed / "Bed rack" design was to ensure easy access to the in tank pump.

    Thanks!

pretty easy to spot if the bed is off any wet areas, that gasket often leaks on high mileage GEN1s.
