Gasket transfer case

    Guys I have an A340F transmission in my 96 tacoma. Im swapping transmissions but using the same transfer case. Anyone know the part number for the gasket that goes between transfer case and transmission not having very good luck. Thanks

    Used for diffs, transmission, and if I recall correctly, transfer case to transmission.

    I'm only 2wd so I'm just assuming that's what'd be used.

    That’s just gasket maker right? I seen kits where they sold the actual gasket I thought. Thanks

    FIPG means Form In Place Gasket. It’s like a RTV sealant that you use

    There is no gasket between the Trans and T-case.

    As mentioned above yes, a gasket maker in other words.

    It begins to settle right away so don't open it up until you're ready to use it.

    Get the one I posted above; best you can use.

    Why are we still talking about gaskets and gasket makers... lol


    There is no gasket (and you do not need gasket maker) between trans and T-case.

    It's a metal to metal connection. What are we trying to seal here?

    You have trans fluid in trans and gear oil in T-case. Nothing flows between the two assemblies.

    Exactly why I was thrown off lol but wanted to make sure that if the OP did anything relating to the transmission, that he use what Toyota uses; the FIPG.
